Mashed Potatoes
Hi everyone, I got one of my wisdom teeth removed a couple of days ago, so I can’t eat any type of sold food, so mashed potatoes were my best choice meal.
Today I will bring to you a simple homemade
mashed potatoes recipe its fluffy, creamy, and full of flavor!
and it's one of the classic side dishes.
Ingredients:
- 4 potatoes
- 3 cloves garlic (optional)
- ½ cup butter (60g)
- ¾ cup heavy cream (or milk)
- 3 tsp salt
- Black pepper (to add flavor)
How to do it:
1. Peel the potatoes (I prefer peeling the potato because it will be so hot to peel when it's done), then cut each potato into small pieces (Less boiling time), Peel the garlic cloves.
2. Put the potato and garlic into a large pot then fill with water until the potatoes are covered. Then Add 2 tsp of salt to the water, it will be done in 10 minutes or until fork tender.
3. Drain the potatoes and garlic then
transfer them back to the warm pot, and then mash them.
4. Melt butter then add the heavy cream then stir to combine, Pour the mixture and
gently mix with the mashed potatoes using a wooden spoon.
5. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with parsley (optional), Enjoy
Some tips :
§
Cut the potatoes into smaller pieces! Less boiling
time means your potatoes will not be overcooked.
§ Make
sure your milk mixture is nice and hot, cold liquids are the enemy of your
mashed potatoes.
