And do you know the best part of this dish? that everyone will love.❤
The whole dish takes about 20 minutes to make. While the pasta is cooking, you can prep the sauce. Then just mix everything together.
Ingredients:
For Pasta:
- Pasta of
your choice
- Olive oil
- Pinch of Salt
For Sauce:
- Tbs of Butter or
Salt (preferred butter for a more creamy sauce)
- medium size Onion
- 3-4
cloves Garlic
- A quarter of a teaspoon
of Red
chili flakes gives the sauce a kick. (If you want)
- Tbs of Tomato Paste
- 4 medium size Tomato (It's a prefer
to be fresh, if it's not it's okay to use Canned Tomatoes, but blend them first)
- Spices: ¼ tsp Salt, Black Pepper, ½ tsp
Dried Oregano, Fresh or Dried Basil, ½ tsp of Sugar.
- 0.5 cup of Heavy Cream
- A handful of Parmesan
Cheese (you can add more or less ... it’s up to you)
How to make it:
1. For the Pasta, you need to add a pinch of Salt and a
tablespoon of Olive Oil to Boiling water, then add the Pasta, it will take
15-20 minutes to be done. (Adding Olive oil will prevent the Pasta from sticking
together)
While the Pasta is cooking, let's prepare the Sauce.
2. Start by Prep your vegetables: Finely chop Onion, Garlic,
and Tomato.
3. In a pan, Heat Olive oil or Butter
(be careful not to burn the
Better), and cook Onion until it is soft or until it is lightly golden,
then add Garlic over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until Garlic fragrant
(Be careful not to burn
the Garlic).
4. Once Garlic is fragrant, add Tbs of Tomato paste and Red chili flakes (if you want), and mix them very well.
5. Then you will add the finely chopped Tomato, Season with ¼
tsp Salt, Pepper, ½ tsp Dried Oregano, and Fresh or Dried Basil, and crush the Tomatoes with the back of your spoon. Cover and let simmer for 10-15
minutes or until the sauce became thick (if it became too thick you can add some of the pasta
water), Test the sauce, and add ½ tsp of Sugar to balance the flavors.
6. Add ½ cup Heavy Cream to the Tomato Sauce (add
more if needed) and stir it well for 2-5 minutes, then add a handful of Parmesan
Cheese.
7. Once Pasta is all done (Check it by testing it), transfer the drained Pasta directly to the Rosy sauce. it’s completely fine if a bit of Pasta water gets into the sauce.
8. Fold the Pasta into the sauce. Sprinkle with little Parmesan Cheese, and basil leaves. Enjoy!
Some
tips:
-When you drain the Pasta, always keep
1 cup of the pasta cooking liquid. It will help to thin out the sauce if it
comes out too thick.
-Any leftover sauce can be stored in
the container and kept in the fridge, to use it later.
-Don’t overcook the pasta! When it’s
mixed with the sauce.
Hope you like it ... Enjoy
